Trends of 2025 and the Colors Materials and Decor That Inspire Me the Most

Every year I follow new interior design trends, and this year I notice aesthetics blending with a sense of livability. The trends of 2025 are not only about appearance; they also shape how I experience my home. Here are the directions that inspire me the most right now.

I will begin with colors. This year I am drawn to natural tones such as sage green, ochre, terracotta, and warm beige. They bring a calm atmosphere and coordinate well with various elements. I often use them in textiles or decorative accessories because they add subtle warmth to any room.

Another trend I appreciate is the use of structured surfaces. Rough plaster, wavy tiles, and décor with visible texture bring character to interiors. Spaces are less uniform and sterile, giving rooms a sense of depth and individuality.

I am also returning to natural materials. Wood with visible grain, ceramic pieces, linen, and stone give my home a grounded and authentic atmosphere. I enjoy combining old and new elements—a restored vintage table paired with a modern lamp creates a balanced contrast.

One of my favorite trends is biophilic design, which brings elements of nature indoors. Plants decorate a room while contributing to a fresher environment. I use hanging planters and larger greenery to create a natural focal point.

Lighting also inspires me. Adjustable brightness and color allow me to set the mood for different times of day. Warm tones in the evening and brighter light in the morning help define each space.

When it comes to décor, I enjoy mixing historical and modern pieces. An antique mirror, painted ceramic items, or vintage candle holders add character to the space. Paired with contemporary minimal shapes, the result feels visually balanced and engaging.

Finally, sustainability guides my choices. I aim to shop consciously and select lasting materials. Repurposing older pieces allows me to create a home that reflects personal style and intentionality.
